I love my collection of challenge coins, they chart an entire career of memories for me. My most ridiculous one is from Trump’s summit with Kim, which is every bit as dictator-y as anyone could imagine, Dear Leader x2. This tops that one by a wide margin in absurdity points however.

Ran a 6-year campaign of The One Ring. The singular RPG among the multitude I love where I owned every supplement. An amazing collection. To say nothing about Tales from the Loop, Symbaroum, BLADE RUNNER ffs… just a great company.

I’ve never understood the social media phenomenon where anonymous negative engagement is the preferred option. If I think someone’s a dick, I just don’t want to talk to them. So many people feel the need to scream into the ether.

Our boys have been watching this movie five or six times per week. It’s worth a look, it’s got some character.

It provides DOD three things:

1. As a pet project of Trump, his imagination is captured and it is a stable project to attract resources and attention.

2. Gives the admin a fig leaf for defending US natsec while disengaging from FP broadly.

3. Acts as a slush fund for Trump friendly contractors.

In high school we worshipped the early comics, even made a copycat comic about our friends. Huge influence. Watching Gabe mature as a cartoonist over the years through several styles has been really awesome.

I think the series evolved significantly over time. By the end TNG was far better, but it took some major lead time to improve. Personally I think the holodeck and Data’s cat made the whole thing worthwhile.

We just attacked them. Countless examples show that regimes under attack consolidate power - including this Iranian regime in 1980. Iraq’s invasion probably averted a civil war. We just cemented them in power and unified Iran against us.

Nailed it. A real war would be so far beyond this senior team’s abilities and it would be very revealing if Iran takes the path of pain.

Longtime Iran watcher here aghast at this latest turn of events. Israel’s position was long that there wouldn’t be war bc Tehran can’t afford to retaliate. Now they can’t afford not to. Trump isn’t all in on war; but they now absolutely have to be. POTUS is making a bad bet, IMHO.

The gunman was not, however, a good person. He was actually a total piece of shit.

I'm just gonna say the amount of peacefulness that these large rallies where essentially nobody was in charge is stunning and fantastic.The media doesn't seem to be too happy though… Definitely looking for any violence they can play up. But the story should be how unbelievably wonderful it all went.

They just launched a preventive war with zero specific justification.

They are handing Trump the justification to crack down harder on a silver plate. That’s pretty fucking stupid. Trump has spoiled for a fight like this for literally years.
