For some reason my crap photo of red kite didn't make it on here ? Anyway ordered phoneskope adapter, has anyone used one or similar? Like I said hopefully it will produce better image than hand held trying to line up lens in scope eyepiece π

Poor image of red kite @ blithfield res on sat trying to take through scope( kite having a bath ), hand held so ordered phoneskope adapter from @ birdersstore. Hope next time get decent image ππ. Assuming it does the job instead of hand held trying to line up lenses etc π

Cont.. within your budget nowadays? But great bit of kit. Very fluid, smooth control. Definitely recommend manfrotto all day long mate. You get what you pay 4 as you know π

Hi Steve, I have got Manfrotto 550, MVH500AH Head brilliant kit. Got my Kowa prominar 88a on it. Had tripod for 4 years can't fault it. Always go for manfrotto tripod this is my 2nd in 30 years so they do last. Obviously carbon fibre etc . Now mine cost I think Β£550 4 years ago so maybe get it

To continue.. tail had bit of grey to it. Although only seen briefly before departure over wood. Anyway hen harrier at Blithfield is brilliant for me. Usually go to Dee Estuary this time of year to see them ππ

Have looked through Zeiss before, don't agree with me also, top bins but my next bins fairly soon are Lieca Noctivid 8 X 42. Think it is just down to personal preference π

Yes know what you mean, big raptor can't miss it but reckon they travel wide area in miles outside of breeding season. Still cracking bird, think they are expanding through country, numbers bouncing back ππ

Just want it to be used again as a first scope especially to a teenager, like I said I wanted 1 at 13 years old, sure there is new birders / young birders out there who would appreciate cheap good first scope ππ
07.10.2024 17:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
Price would be about Β£ 250 area it is doing nothing at moment, like to go to new birder/ youngster. When I started at 13 years old I dreamed of having a scope π . Anyway it is there if anybody interested. Depending on who if anybody interested price is not fixed.

While I am here about scopes, my old kowa prominar 66mm is up for sale cheapish, good nick, had case on all it's life, if any youngster or new birder who wants decent scope then please get in touch. Yes it is 20 years old but great first scope honestly. Can do pics etc if anybody interested.

Had, still got kowa prominar 66 mm over 20 years old, would be still using it but was able at time to upgrade, think Kowa get overlooked a bit. Won't change from kowa for scopes outstanding kit & bit less money than Swarovski at top end π

Hiya mate, my input is not had Swarovski but got Kowa TSN prominar 88a back in may, Β£3200 , absolutely brilliant scope with the 25 - 60 zoom. Looked through Swarovski tbh can't see much difference. But don't like focus wheel on Swarovski anyway tbh, so kowa for me anytime, just has good π
