It's not only married women- it can affect divorced women too.

Yes, I doubt I will be able to go to the exhibit. From what I see online, some of his work reminds a bit of Milton Avery, like "Turkish Beach Scene" but then colorists are generally very interesting to me.

At the very least Gore Vidal was both funny and witty.

There is a wonderful small museum in Prague about Karel Zeman and his work & methods. They also have cool stuff in the museum store, which is on their website: karelzemanmuseum.org.

The idea of Happy Gotcha Day for adopted or rescued pets is great, as mine came from a rescue that did not have a birthdate.

They don't exist from Central FL (Orlando) >south unless there is a rare situation. South FL sits atop coral rock. In Miami, it's only inches below ground level. North Central FL sits atop a limestone/karst aquifer that connects to natural springs. It's why Disney & Miami has above ground monorails.

No, that's not what will happen. Similar restrictions are law in Florida for a driver's license. Women who have changed their name by marriage or divorce must present certified copies of divorce, marriage, and birth records- a problem for many minority voters. This act is crafted to suppress votes.

"Green’s Dictionary of Slang is the largest historical dictionary of English slang. Written by Jonathon Green over 17 years from 1993, it reached the printed page in 2010 in a three-volume set containing nearly 100,000 entries supported by over 400,000 citations from c. ad 1000 to the present day. The main focus of the dictionary is the coverage of over 500 years of slang from c. 1500 onwards.
The printed version of the dictionary received the Dartmouth Medal for outstanding works of reference from the American Library Association in 2012; fellow recipients include the Dictionary of American Regional English, the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, and the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians. It has been hailed by the American New York Times as ‘the pièce de résistance of English slang studies’ and by the British Sunday Times as ‘a stupendous achievement, in range, meticulous scholarship, and not least entertainment value’.
On this website the dictionary is now available in updated online form for the first time, complete with advanced search tools enabling search by definition and history, and an expanded bibliography of slang sources from the early modern period to the present day. Since the print edition, nearly 60,000 quotations have been added, supporting 5,000 new senses in 2,500 new entries and sub-entries, of which around half are new slang terms from the last five years."

I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

I wrote about how the Heartland Institute (of Project 2025 fame) is helping the GOP attack the Netflix Warner Brothers merger because they really want Larry Ellison to build state television out of the remnants of CNN and HBO:

In response to outcries from Milan, DHS has announced that the ICE agents being sent to the Winter Olympics will only work from an office in the US Consulate there.

If they can to their job from an office in Milan, they can do it from an office in the USA. There is zero reason for them being there.

IMMORAL…

This drawing was made by one of the 5 year old El Gamal twins. It shows children behind bars with the caption, “I’m 5 years old.”

An immigration judge denied them bond, citing “insufficient assets.” These children could remain in detention for years while their case is appealed.

This morning, I recorded a video on TikTok about why DHS’s arguments for the power to enter homes without judicial warrants in immigration cases are bunk.

Nine hours later, TikTok still says my video is “under review,” and can’t be shared.
