I’m not surprised that the telegraph has wound themselves up into a rightwing snowflake frenzy over this, but given this is the report of one man with an axe to grind it is stupid that anyone else is taking any of the parts outside the main point seriously.

As suspected, most of this so-called report seems to be about the author moaning that his own views weren’t given more priority than others. The trans section is just a screed of outrage that trans people exist and he’s upset the bbc isn’t bullying them more.

Like every one of these cases, it always comes done to the complainants just being deeply unpleasant people and are annoyed at being rightfully seen as such.

Yes I was interested in quite how this so-called commitment manifests. Like most cowardly/hostile organisations they seem to think by saying something it makes it true. . .

Re: resignations in 2023, so about the time that the Baroness went fully public with her outright anti-trans stance once she saw a kindred spirit in Badenoch, GANHRI started making noises (subsequently aborted) of their unsuitability and of course those bullying allegations which just faded away . .

But on the other hand at least AH will be ditched next year. 😮‍💨

We are just under 4 years out, so the whole exercise is not to be taken seriously - but this is first time I've seen any model suggest these two lose their seats . . . I don't actually expect them to lose their seats (well, I think WS will) but it does demonstrate their unpopularity aptly.

Just fed these numbers into EC's seat predictor (with tactical voting); while it still gives Reform a win, the silver lining is that with these numbers both Keir Starmer and Wes Streeting would lose their seats! (KS to the Greens, WS to an independent).

So 'four Labour Cabinet Ministers' offered words of comfort to TM after a so-called offence from their own colleague. . . yet another indication of the moral lacuna at the heart of this government.

That said I'm glad she won if only to indulge in the schadenfreude of Phillipson losing.

I guess we'll see, I don't hold out a great deal of hope given her equivocation on issues in the past - while at the time I think I gave her the benefit of the doubt but that goodwill has evaporated from any Labour candidate a long time ago . . .

Also on the spite front, while I’m hardly a huge fan Lucy P, or anyone in Labour for that matter, I have been amazed at the vitriolic nature of BP’s campaign. It wasn’t just that LP was BP’s opponent, but she seems to hold a seething loathing of her.
