My region’s last cycling education programme was run by a volunteer organization, Cycling Into the Future. Founded by a retired teacher it offered education for gr5-6 students, included bikes for those without. CITF would do 5-6 schools/yr. Really this should be part of public school curriculum

Who said anything about waiting till 18. The building blocks to critical thinking and discernment start early and it’s why public school education and a comprehensive curriculum are vital. Education does not belong in the hands of religion nor does it belong in the hands of private business

All the things that you and others mentioned fall under the “critical thinking” umbrella. You get that from a comprehensive liberal arts education; one that embraces science, mathematics, history, geography, civics and the humanities. That’s what public education is for
