The subway on Halloween night is one of the greatest things about NYC.

100% none of my "less established relatives and friends", have gold leaf adornments in their homes, but camo, rustic wood, and crocheted blankets are everywhere!

Very true, but I think this is always the ultimate problem with transit and not just related to getting groceries. Frequency matters so much!

When I was on our bus rider advisory board I kept advocating for bag/cart storage on one route with a large grocery store as a test. Riders were already rising with carts, but those carts blocked the aisle making it harder for other riders to board. Removing a coupe. Seats to make room would work

Biking works best for me since I can load my bags in the store and roll my bike and groceries right into my kitchen, but I have older neighbors who don't bike where getting groceries by bus/street is is their best option. Luckily our streetcar has spaces for carts etc.

It could however with a few small changes such as providing storage areas for shopping trolleys in routes that pass larger grocery stores etc

Getting pretty sock of listening to @npr.org both sides the government shutdown. It's not up to the Democrats to govern. They are not the party in power. It's incumbent upon the Republicans to actually govern, which they have proven over the last 40+ years to be unable the do!

And courts enable this by giving easy sentences like probation and small fines. Like serious, how do some drivers have 4 or even 6 or more DUI convictions????

Oh course he is, because let's face it, no one really cares about drivers driving drunk because its a crime nearly every one commits & driving is a nearly a requirement to live in KC , plus our cities enable this by demanding minimum parking requirements for bars/taverns/restaurants /1

My church showed a video cut with footage from what i think was from the twilight zone, to our youth group about how having premarital sex would lead to horrific diseases and quick horrific death. Between this and the movie Thief in the Night, I was quite traumatized by these abusive fucks!

Shoulder season is so hard to judge clothing choices, I haven't acclimated to cooler temps yet, and the afternoons are decently warm. Damn really screwed up the clothing choices today. Start at 3C/36F up to 14C/57f & I am a hot sweaty mess on my bike. Had to pull over an strip off layers. #bikelife

I prefer boxes of wine. Less likely to break in the event of a crash!

More children walking may mean per capita more children are safer, but also that drivers hit and kill more kids on Halloween can both be true.
