I have a dummy Reddit account that is subscribed to a single-digit number of subreddits, because I find that most of them get exceedingly repetitive after a very short time. It's rendered my home page experience unusable, like maybe two posts from the same subreddit.

somehow the only difference between the serotonin reward for pulling the handle of a slot machine and playing another round of Megabonk is that you could at least potentially win money with the slot machine, which makes playing another round of Megabonk more of a humiliation ritual.
