I'm sorry you were getting such a hard time over on the other platform. On Bluesky, we've been told to freeze out assholes by reporting them and blocking them and not responding to them at all so you're choosing the correct path for this platform.

This is the best list that anyone keeps of doctors who have been trained in the technique. (I have heard some reports it is a little out of date as doctors move around.) https://www.dupuytren-online.info/radiotherapy_clinics.html

Bumping the PSA because someone else who needed it found it recently and it's been a good bit: if you are diagnosed with Dupuytren's/Ledderhose, read this thread and get to an oncologist who does radiotherapy treatment AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

Pour a bit of white vinegar on a wash cloth and flap it around to get rid of the smell. The vinegar smell will go away quickly.

So about ten years ago I found a small network of bots on Reddit dedicated to spreading hate. The thing about it is that these weren't even responding to political topics - they were just responding to random keywords with insults and hate.

The same bots are now here. You should understand why. 🧡

Brazil nuts, almost unique in our food supply, are not cultivated, but are collected in the wilds of the Amazon forest. Communities of indigenous nut harvesters maintain intact forests necessary for the trees. When you eat Brazil nuts, you are contributing to the conservation of Amazon forests. 🌏

Coming back to say thankfully AmEx sided with me in my chargeback & I got my $ back. But if missed it: #eShakti, formerly great, is full scam now; they take your $, deliver only excuses, then try to wait out your chargeback period. Google has the full story & the BBB has removed their accreditation.

i think we should stop giving our ai bots female names (alexa, siri) and give them names from the old white boys club (john, james, chad) in honor of how overconfident and annoying they are even when they’re completely wrong or making stuff up

Heat wave season reminder: one incident of severe heatstroke can cause an acute brain injury, as well as predispose you (generally temporarily) to getting heatstroke again. Do not push past early symptoms of heat exhaustion.

Catch it as heat exhaustion, and avoid an ER visit for heatstroke.

Cookies will run together if the batter is too warm. Roll the 2" balls of dough and put them on the cookie sheet and then put the whole thing in the fridge for 5-10 minutes before putting it in the oven.

I have a body part that seems to attract injuries too but less gruesome ones. Middle finger right hand. Squished it and lost the nail (it grew back), sliced a big chunk off the tip off it, crushed the bone when I slammed the car door on my own finger, and a few other injuries πŸ₯ΊπŸ€ͺ
