As someone who hasn’t been “into” reading since childhood, this feels like such an accomplishment. It’s so satisfying to return to something I used to love.

Two years ago I made a goal to get back into reading. In 2023 I aimed to finish 5 and ended the year with 7. In 2024 I upped the goal to 10 and ended up finishing 19. This I haven’t set a goal because the habit has stuck. So far I’ve read 4 and am close to finishing 2 more!

I get the appeal of a workout that kicks your ass. I still want that sometimes! But all out, every time is not the only way to make fitness progress.

I have made so much more progress in my strength and cardiovascular fitness by letting myself do workouts that are not that hard.

Recovery between sessions is easier, I’ve been able to be way more consistent, and it’s so much more enjoyable!
