That’s what did me in. I held on as long as I did for election update stuff and Ukraine/Middle East conflict news. I had planned to probably drop it by the end of the year but the speed at which things went hyper-toxic after Tuesday settled it

Nah, I feel that. The anxiety is giving way to a kind of guarded optimism that though things will be bad - and they will - there’s issues of scope and scale and time, you know? And for all the shitheels in Congress and the judiciary - I think there’s more than we may think who have a definite line.

I was probably less scared in 2016 because I didn’t know what was coming. Now it’s more fear than anything, but also shifting towards anger and hope, oddly. Odds are not great and there’s a lot of factors that do not play in our favor but there are a lot that do.

I like this place. The other one was scary, and not good for my mental health.
