Along with Judy Holliday’s gin rummy scene in “Born Yesterday”, this scene is almost perfect in its comedic execution. I have seen it countless times and still laugh my head off.

This is Dollywood-Style Cinnamon Bread (from the fabulous people at @americastestkitchen.com). It is stupefyingly delicious. The butter and brown sugar creates crunchy bits that balance beautifully with the soft bread that is like all best of a cinnamon roll middle. #baking #homebaking

I have just started learning to #crochet and finished my first practice piece tonight. I started in August as a way to curtail my snacking while watching tv.

Happy Anniversary! I think the traditional gift is coral. Hmm. Maybe something lovely and coral colored, like a vintage piece of glass. You didn’t ask of course. 😉 My 35th is year after next so I had better start planning. Many Happy Returns!

Had a day off mid week yesterday and baked English Muffin Batter Bread. It is pillowy with a tender but crunchy crust and, when toasted, quite sublime. #baking #homebaking

I’m totally with you on that. We also can’t help but say “oh that’s gonna leave a mark” when there is a serious fall or calamity.

First try at a Blueberry Roly Poly. For the American palate, think of biscuits and jam. Very tasty but my jam was too thin and so my roll didn’t hold as well as I’d like. But could eat the whole thing. #homebaking
