I don’t know - Portland City Attorney doesn’t discuss their legal strategies with us. That being said, here’s something to ponder: Seattle City Attorney is an elected position - Portland City Attorney is not.

Trump is back in the White House, but Portland isn’t sure how to respond Portland’s leaders are still weighing how best to respond to a second Trump term: vocally fight back with lawsuits and protests, or try to stay off of Trump’s radar with a more quiet resistance.

How elected leaders must fight back against fascism:

- They need to study and understand authoritarian regimes, where “divide and conquer politics” are the norm.

- To strategically respond, electeds must agree on basic values: “That focus should be on defending our most vulnerable communities.”
