Thanks! So it looks like platform migration might explain some of what's going on 2015-2023 in the JOE data, but posting are down the last three years across both platforms

This is just JOE postings right? Do you know if things look different with ECJM postings as well? My subjective impression from the year I was on the market was that (although there was double posting) there were more jobs on ECJM. Could the secular trend on display here be platform migration?

Does anyone know why health is 9% higher in the UK? Seems odd given the NHS is free at the point of service. I wonder what is included. There aren't many details in the link explaining either the data or how this is calculated.

If you care about my opinions on ai feel free to seek them out in a different context without engaging with content that calls me a termite or speculating whether I'm blind to explotation

Maybe I misread your "hard to believe', but yes I refuse to engage with his essential point because my point is about basic decency. If someone calls a group of people termites, deletes the post but creates a new post telling a made up version of events, I refuse to engage with their essential point

No I expressed no opinion on that topic. I said it was dumb to take secondhand accounts as gospel. Kevin provided no evidence a b school professor said this to him. And there is good evidence they didn't
27.12.2024 14:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0
The dumb thing would be believing an unsubstantiated assertion. At least one of these interactions was Kevin failing basic reading comprehension and then calling someone a termite. He deleted the post but there are screenshoots.

Iβm on the job market this year! My #EconJMP explores how to design incentives for people with limited understanding of the causal effects of their actions. I consider the implications of a form of bounded rationality I call 'narrow inference' in a principal-agent screening model. (1/15)
