Ahh, apologies. I've interpreted your comment completely wrong, as an affirmative claim. I was genuinely interested in answers. I'm a commercial researcher and I'm a bit irritated by the claims and predictions akin to that one while having zero ground in science and engineering.

That very specific ex-gamedev is wasting so much of his time in a hate crusade against "woke" and "DEI".

He was successful and is rich and he shouldn't bother and enjoy life. Why would he put do much effort? Is it a frustration for a decade of failing to be a game dev again while "wokes" succeed?

It's a complex topic, there are some legitimate questions and things to discuss, but in my opinion TI is grifting; abusing his viewer's technical ignorance to sell himself as an expert and Robin Hood of sort, offering no solutions to complex problems, unfairly painting professionals as malicious.

Unfortunately, it is kind of true that hardware improvement can't really move fast now. A 4090 was a big jump, but Blackwell is now on the same node process, they can only scale core count and power and 4090 was already insanely high with both. Better nodes are at the extreme premium and also themselves do not represent density jump that we had before. Both of these facts impact the practicality of performance improvement. It's becoming dramatically expensive to move only a tiny bit up. This is not an NV-exclusive or GPU exclusive problem. It's an industry wide obstacle that will significantly increase the cost of tech further down the road and slow down progress. We're looking at the future as the optimisation decade, not hardware scaling up one. Software (tricks) is what we have now.

Today my partner and I cancelled our GDC plans.

It wasn’t an easy decision to make, but between reduced air safety, increased border control detainments, and escalating tensions between the US and Canada, travelling to the US for a games conference (especially from Canada) doesn't seem worth it.

All it takes is one bad faith border security staff calling into question why I am travelling to the US from Canada and back on a UK passport, and I could be in a cold cell for a few weeks waiting for a chance to explain myself.
