The BBC’s own “impartiality briefing” for freelancers included not doing anything to annoy the DM. So - not impartial! Also not great for freedom of speech.

Full marks to them for doing the right thing here and extra house points because it also happens to firmly stick two fingers up at Farage at the same time.

Minimum wage is to rise at above inflation rates from next April.

The standard rate will rise 4.1%, 8.5% for the 18-20 age group & 6% for 16-17.

This is a further step towards equalising the rates.

Inflation is currently 3.6% and is expected to fall further in the coming months...
