Just booked mine privately as I'm not eligible for a free one. I'm fortunate that I can afford it, and I'm getting it because I don't want to get even sicker for longer.
We need a comprehensive vaccination programme across the UK which gives everyone fair and equal access to protect each other.

Terrible news about the attack on the Manchester synagogue. Thinking of those who lost loved ones or whose loved ones are injured.
Especially to attack on Yom Kippur, such an important day in the Jewish calendar.

is absolutely nothing wrong with asking media, all media to tell the truth and making laws to make sure they do. they are free to speak on anything, long as it's provable truth with sources. US used to have these laws and they worked and were fine.

Steve Richards: This was the best speech Starmer has delivered to a Labour conference. The words sounded as if they were written by him. That authentic voice was urgently needed after Starmer spoke of an “island of strangers” only to disown the phrase.

“50% of FE lecturers leave within three years. In HE, 15,000 redundancies are looming.
If Labour are serious, we need commitments: close the pay gap, stop the cuts, and invest in education.

Brexit to blame for Rachel Reeves’ tax hikes, Labour MP claims
Andrew Lewin has said ‘not a single tax’ would have had to increase if Britain stayed in the EU
Some honesty at last
Labour MP blames Brexit for Rachel Reeves’ tax-hiking Budget last Oct, adding that he hopes Britain rejoins the EU in his lifetime.
Andrew Lewin said leaving EU left Britain £40bn poorer per year, adding that “were we still members… there would not have been a single tax rise”

Yes. Where is the official enquiry into how much personal and political gain accrued to the politicians involved in this process? And what role did Brexit play? Yet again, a la Ghislaine Maxwell, we seem to have a woman set up as the fall guy in a corrupt game principally played by men.

Long COVID Risk In Kids Found To Double After Their Second COVID-19 Infection
Catching COVID-19 twice was found to increase the risk of post-viral syndrome, contrary to popular belief.
"In a study taking data from across the USA, children and adolescents were found to have double the risk of developing long COVID after their second infection with SARS-CoV-2"
Timely study given the current #CovidInquiry module is focussed on children.

Graphic which reads "Mayor of London / It was predicted to take 193 years to meet legal limits for air pollution in London/ We did it in 9"
I remember being told that it would take 193 years to reach legal limits for nitrogen dioxide.
I decided this was unacceptable.
Thanks to the bold policies we put in place, we've managed to do it in nine years - 184 years earlier than expected.

Viewpoint: What we don’t see about vaccines COULD hurt us
Not only is RFKjr spreading disinformation about vaccines, infection & health but advertising for flu/covid vaccines and support for clinical teams to address questions re vaccines is not happening either. ie disproportionately negative vaccine messages dominate which likely will reduce uptake

So the fraudster Michelle Mone is not even showing any contrition? Shame on her.
Rachel Reeves is right - it was a manifesto pledge that Labour would pursue the grifters who falsely made millions from the pandemic.
Mone should regard herself (I hope) as the first of many.

Breaking News: Rachel Reeves Confirms Government Vendetta Against Baroness Michelle Mone OBE
Today, The Telegraph reported that at a fringe event at the Labour Party Conference, Rachel Reeves openly confirmed that the Government does indeed have a vendetta against me. When asked directly, she replied: “Too right we do.”
Rachel, thank you for confirming what Doug and I have long believed. Your comment will now be passed to our legal team, who will find it highly useful in establishing the Government’s bias and position against us.
But let me be clear: such reckless words have consequences. Since this remark, my social media has been flooded with threats and messages of abuse from keyboard warriors. Do you really understand the implications of your actions and the hatred they incite? Shame on you.
I suggest you should report yourself to the Commissioner for Parliamentary Standards for improper conduct and behaviour that is not worthy of the high office you hold as Chancellor of the Exchequer.
I also call on the Prime Minister to issue a formal apology to me.
And Rachel, a word of advice: stick to the day job and try to do it better. Your first 15 months in office have been a disgrace. You have misled the British people about growth-inhibiting tax rises that were never in the Labour manifesto. Your legacy is already steering the UK toward stagflation, no growth, high inflation, and a return to the failures of Labour in the 1970s. Perhaps keep the IMF’s number on speed dial.

People like Mone are surrounded by a coterie of fluffers whose living depends on "yes". Any "no" is an outrage. Criticism filtered. Facts blended and extruded as potato smileys. Similar to The Dictator's Dilemma, soon, they lose touch with reality.
The bunker is always last to know the war is lost.
