No I can tell. I deal with Bruce supporters on Reddit. You donโ€™t give off that vibe. Lol

A fighter who might be a bit clumsy and need some support along the way is someone I trust far more.

Again youโ€™re ignoring my point though. Look at Chuck Schumer. As well as Harrells history when it comes to the right wing agitators has shown to be really really weak and frankly pathetic. You care about the knowledge of how to fight Harrell may have that but he lacks the back bone and will to

06.10.2025 03:30 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Appreciate it. And you can vote for whoever you want itโ€™s a Democracy :)

I just feel in such a dark depressing world and the nation being dragged in such a concerning direction Iโ€™d like a leader who wants more then just the status quo. I donโ€™t think we can stick with status quo right now.

06.10.2025 03:23 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

No but if we overlooked it then (And apparently according to you the city is doing well) Then I guess it often can end up fine. Same with Pete Buttigieg.
Also isnโ€™t Seattle having budget issues? So apparently Bruce himself isnโ€™t great at managing it ether.

06.10.2025 03:13 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

He also said โ€œNow is not the time for Hope, Passion and Good ideasโ€. Jesus what a dystopian message. We are blasted by negative outlooks at the federal level and even state level things look rough. And then you throw that at us? Really makes me want to fight and participate /s.

06.10.2025 03:10 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Also law enforcement has not always historically listened to Bruce ether so I wouldnโ€™t say heโ€™s top notch and getting them to do stuff. They heavily let the Christian band play on public property yet gated it off unless you had a ticket which is legally questionable.

06.10.2025 03:07 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Just like most Moderates he thinks you can negotiate or reason with these people like Trump. You canโ€™t and never will be able to.

Besides I stand by I struggle to trust a guy who pulled a gun on a pregnant women when he was a 38 year old grown ass man. Over a driving incident.

06.10.2025 03:05 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Bruce has show himself to be pretty weak against conservatives. He negotiated several times with that Christian group and they just ignored him the first time then called him names and did what they wanted and now their suing him as well. He shouldnโ€™t have bothered with them to start with.

06.10.2025 03:04 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The issue is Bruce has no desire to and Iโ€™ve seen that before Trump. Heโ€™s a moderate. At his best he does mild scolding. But he got dog walked by the Christian group that came to the city the first time and played their music at city hall. Someone whoโ€™s got fight matters more now. Katie clearly does

06.10.2025 03:02 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I donโ€™t think it should get over looked but also people like Pete Buttigieg had never directly been in a political position ether when he became mayor and he was apparently good enough to get a second term. And as others have mentioned you have a whole office who helps you not just Katie Alone

06.10.2025 03:01 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I think the city is doing fine but we also picked Harrell during a very different time. Biden was president and things were relatively calm. It was largely in backlash to crime. We are now being pulled further Right at the Federal level. I just donโ€™t see Harrell being any major opposition to that

06.10.2025 02:58 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

For the โ€œexperienceโ€ argument again I made a post about this. We could use Chuck Schumer as an example. Heโ€™s been in politics since 1975 and a senator since 1999 (I was 3) yet heโ€™s gotten blown over and is weak opposition in tone and action to Trump. This guy should be a pro yet heโ€™s failed badly

06.10.2025 02:56 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Bruce hasnโ€™t exactly given me the strong impression he knows what heโ€™s doing most of the time. He was late with the Comp plan, doesnโ€™t coordinate much with Council, isnโ€™t on the ground with average citizens much. And he suddenly drops all these ideas during the last 2 months because heโ€™s desperate

06.10.2025 02:52 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

To point out a fair out. This goes based on the assumption that โ€œExperienceโ€ = Good experience. Like to be fair Trump legit has more experience being President then Bruce Harrell has experience being Mayor. Most of us would say Trump isnโ€™t fit for his office.

06.10.2025 02:50 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

This is what Iโ€™ve tired to bring up elsewhere. If it was a Moderate candidate with no experience I doubt they would bring it up. They overlooked it a lot for much of the city council yet suddenly experience matters a lot to them.

05.10.2025 23:23 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Very few projects are currently under construction here in Seattle. In terms of Apartments, I'm aware of 3 in Northgate, 1 in Roosevelt, 3 in SLU, 2 in Othello, 2 in Yesler, 1 in Woodland, and 1 along Madison st There may be others, but those are all I'm aware of.

03.10.2025 17:04 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Pete worked for McKinsey & Company idk why anyone would be shocked such a man would back Bruce.

03.10.2025 05:02 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

That doesnโ€™t work when the nation is sliding backward.

03.10.2025 04:52 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Also, what a silly statement. Hope, Passion, and Great ideas are what gets people inspired and willing to fight and not give up. The Dems have partly been struggling because many of them are lacking a damn vision of a better world, or like Bruce, only push for the status quo.

03.10.2025 04:52 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

You can have years of experience at something and still suck at what you do. Thatโ€™s also why you have aids and assistants to help you along the way. Thatโ€™s why City Council has people from the city government come in and give feedback (Even though the current city council ignores them often)

03.10.2025 04:51 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Iโ€™ll say in response to this what I posted on Reddit

What a ridiculous statement. Experience isnโ€™t what stops Trump. Look at many of the Dems, like Chuck Schumer, who has decades of experience but gets walked all over.

Iโ€™m kind of over the experience argument.

03.10.2025 04:51 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 29    ๐Ÿ” 2    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

You have a right to as well. The Mayor should easily be able to address this.

03.10.2025 04:14 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Ya this gets tiring needing to fight over every tiny little thing it gets old.

This is great news thanks for the update @qagggy.bsky.social ive walked past this site so many times wondering when something was going to be done with it. I was shocked given its a prime area.

Saka is bad

Hollingsworth is somehow worse then Saka which I didnโ€™t see coming. But should he remembered going forward.

Doesnโ€™t shock me at all that Rivera is the worst. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve seen her do a single positive thing on the council. I canโ€™t say that about any of the other council members.

30.09.2025 07:11 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Rinck Is clear YIMBY,

Strauss, Juarez and Solomon (When he actually shows up for work) Are YIMBY leaning so far.

Kettle and Nelson are based on Voting and amendments 50/50ish but in rhetoric Kettle becomes more NIMBY leaning. In lack of voting Nelson does as well.

30.09.2025 07:09 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I believe so. But again thatโ€™s the issue for 1 good one he put up he also put up several NIMBY proposals and has been pretty supportive of the Queen Ann NIMBYS. Again at best you can call them both fence sitters but thatโ€™s me trying to be pretty generous.

30.09.2025 06:50 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Well Iโ€™d need to see the actual number breakdown but based on the graph their both about 50/50 so at best their fence sitters which I found just as problematic in a City with a Housing Crisis. I think @pushtheneedle.bsky.social made a good point to. The voted down some of the bigger ones.

30.09.2025 06:49 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I think I even saw you comment on the fact that Nelson didnโ€™t vote on any of the neighborhood centers and basically chickened out. I just donโ€™t think ether deserve a 2nd chance. Many clearly felt double crossed by Nelson.
