Also law enforcement has not always historically listened to Bruce ether so I wouldn’t say he’s top notch and getting them to do stuff. They heavily let the Christian band play on public property yet gated it off unless you had a ticket which is legally questionable.

Just like most Moderates he thinks you can negotiate or reason with these people like Trump. You can’t and never will be able to.

Bruce has show himself to be pretty weak against conservatives. He negotiated several times with that Christian group and they just ignored him the first time then called him names and did what they wanted and now their suing him as well. He shouldn’t have bothered with them to start with.

The issue is Bruce has no desire to and I’ve seen that before Trump. He’s a moderate. At his best he does mild scolding. But he got dog walked by the Christian group that came to the city the first time and played their music at city hall. Someone who’s got fight matters more now. Katie clearly does

I don’t think it should get over looked but also people like Pete Buttigieg had never directly been in a political position ether when he became mayor and he was apparently good enough to get a second term. And as others have mentioned you have a whole office who helps you not just Katie Alone

I think the city is doing fine but we also picked Harrell during a very different time. Biden was president and things were relatively calm. It was largely in backlash to crime. We are now being pulled further Right at the Federal level. I just don’t see Harrell being any major opposition to that

For the “experience” argument again I made a post about this. We could use Chuck Schumer as an example. He’s been in politics since 1975 and a senator since 1999 (I was 3) yet he’s gotten blown over and is weak opposition in tone and action to Trump. This guy should be a pro yet he’s failed badly

Bruce hasn’t exactly given me the strong impression he knows what he’s doing most of the time. He was late with the Comp plan, doesn’t coordinate much with Council, isn’t on the ground with average citizens much. And he suddenly drops all these ideas during the last 2 months because he’s desperate

To point out a fair out. This goes based on the assumption that “Experience” = Good experience. Like to be fair Trump legit has more experience being President then Bruce Harrell has experience being Mayor. Most of us would say Trump isn’t fit for his office.

This is what I’ve tired to bring up elsewhere. If it was a Moderate candidate with no experience I doubt they would bring it up. They overlooked it a lot for much of the city council yet suddenly experience matters a lot to them.

Very few projects are currently under construction here in Seattle. In terms of Apartments, I'm aware of 3 in Northgate, 1 in Roosevelt, 3 in SLU, 2 in Othello, 2 in Yesler, 1 in Woodland, and 1 along Madison st There may be others, but those are all I'm aware of.

Pete worked for McKinsey & Company idk why anyone would be shocked such a man would back Bruce.

Also, what a silly statement. Hope, Passion, and Great ideas are what gets people inspired and willing to fight and not give up. The Dems have partly been struggling because many of them are lacking a damn vision of a better world, or like Bruce, only push for the status quo.

You can have years of experience at something and still suck at what you do. That’s also why you have aids and assistants to help you along the way. That’s why City Council has people from the city government come in and give feedback (Even though the current city council ignores them often)

I believe so. But again that’s the issue for 1 good one he put up he also put up several NIMBY proposals and has been pretty supportive of the Queen Ann NIMBYS. Again at best you can call them both fence sitters but that’s me trying to be pretty generous.

Well I’d need to see the actual number breakdown but based on the graph their both about 50/50 so at best their fence sitters which I found just as problematic in a City with a Housing Crisis. I think @pushtheneedle.bsky.social made a good point to. The voted down some of the bigger ones.

I think I even saw you comment on the fact that Nelson didn’t vote on any of the neighborhood centers and basically chickened out. I just don’t think ether deserve a 2nd chance. Many clearly felt double crossed by Nelson.
