I’ve found that a significant source of my finding interesting things from “before my time” has been parody/comedy references. Weird Al polkas, Looney Tunes, The Simpsons, Calvin and Hobbes, all gave me keys to find things that seemed neat through the amusement.

Agreed. In my interactions with him he was always a straight shooter in ways that most execs aren’t. I always felt like he had the best interests of whatever group he was in charge of at heart. My condolences to all those who knew him or got to work with him.

The aesthetic was very much my jam at the time. And I’m a sucker for anything that reminds me of fzero, racing with neat music and style.

I think about this game often. The suit designs really allowed the characters to do cool stunts when racing and jumping that had lots of character cause they could literally dance around while racing at superhuman speeds. Also butts.
