Auto Industry Co-Op Ad Spending Rises As Inventories Grow As production continues to ramp up from pandemic and supply chain interruptions so is co-op ad spending. But that money from automakers has serious strings attached.

And ICYMI, auto companies spend an order of magnitude more than oil companies on ads.

Transportation freedom means choices that save you money and timeβ€”but they can’t exist unless we build them.

Big Money and the Fight Against Transit Look Familiar?

On this Election Day, remember:

Opposition to public #transit is motivated by industries and investors who win when we’re dependent on cars.

The reason is simple: Reducing vehicle miles (#VMT) reduces statistical car sales and associated revenues.

Your annual reminder that US streets and vehicles are generally not designed to keep pedestrians, especially small ones, safe.

So wonderful Halloween is the most likely day you’ll kill a child with your car, and someone will kill a child you care about with theirs.

Maybe, and crime is a crucial issue.

But the data might surprise you.

Here’s Jill Grano on the numbers, and what’s been going on under this council and the previous one’s watch.

Nobody wants to pay more fees. But we also pay for substandard pavement conditions and deferred maintenance that costs more in the long run.

Well done to the City of #Boulder staff team to pass a transportation maintenance fee that will...

Watching a panel on "urbanism as climate action." This is a huge, burgeoning field/idea/movement, but the desiccated boomer counsels who decide where climate funding goes are *clueless* about it and so it has to seek funding elsewhere.

City of #Boulder has concluded its mega #parking reform.

Parking minimums are now gone. So all those patches of 200 square feet that home-builders have been required to install at a cost of $30,000+ per space can now be used for other things like vegetable gardens, bike parking, and housing.

One of greatest gifts of being an elected official:

The chance to sit with ppl who didn’t vote for me & ask me to consider a reasoned alternative to my thinkingβ€”then talk.

It always makes me stronger.

There’s no room in the US for political violence.

The way to a better future is better ideas.

Other times they seek you out at an event to say thanks for being persistent about improving transportation options and present with their gratitude a disco ball.
