... raise $73,000,000 over ten years, assess the costs of motor vehicles more directly and equitably to users, and reduce total costs.

This project is a loooong time coming, and it's the kind of thing that is easy to kick down the road. But the best time after yesterday is now.

* Commuter rail from Boulder Junction to Denver by 2029

Thousands of truckloads are being reconstituted into 9+ miles of the new game-changing CO 119 bike path to Longmont. 😍

Watching a panel on "urbanism as climate action." This is a huge, burgeoning field/idea/movement, but the desiccated boomer counsels who decide where climate funding goes are *clueless* about it and so it has to seek funding elsewhere.

Thanks a million to the large number staff and community advocates who have slogged to make this happen.

New Boulder ordinance makes developers pay for transit incentives City Council approved an ordinance requiring developers to pay into an escrow account for transportation benefits, such as RTD EcoPasses.

The city also has passed an ordinance requiring developers of larger facilities to provide more support for transpo demand mgmt (TDM). It introduces new
quality assurance that includes program design standards, user needs assessments, and accountability. boulderreportinglab.org/2025/09/18/n...

City of #Boulder has concluded its mega #parking reform.

Parking minimums are now gone. So all those patches of 200 square feet that home-builders have been required to install at a cost of $30,000+ per space can now be used for other things like vegetable gardens, bike parking, and housing.

One of greatest gifts of being an elected official:

The chance to sit with ppl who didn’t vote for me & ask me to consider a reasoned alternative to my thinking—then talk.

It always makes me stronger.

There’s no room in the US for political violence.

The way to a better future is better ideas.

Sometimes people fight “growth” while lamenting how long the list is to get senior housing.

Other times they seek you out at an event to say thanks for being persistent about improving transportation options and present with their gratitude a disco ball.
