Apparently, improving my chess skills have also improved my Italian speaking skills.

I'm still most likely going to Rome/Florence/Naples next trip, but I still want to drop by Cairo/Giza again.

The new Grand Egyptian Museum is scheduled to open to the public on 4 November. I may decide to go back to Egypt next year then.

(My first trip to Cairo/Giza was May 2023, then Istanbul the whole month of June.)

I got a good metal bass sound (with distortion) with my setup.

I'm working on a cover of a song that's over 1000 years old. It's kind of hard because there are quarter tones all over the place.

I’m back in the US tonight. I have thoughts. I might post them later.

This trip to Paris has saved my mental health.

But I'm still crying inside for my home country.

I told my dad I'll go to Italy for my next trip. That'll most likely be Rome and Florence, and maybe also Naples.

But if Sagrada Família's going to be finished next year, I'd like to be back in Barcelona for that.

So those will be the most likely options. Dates still unknown.

A legal permanent resident researching cures for Lyme disease has been detained by immigration officials for over a week.
