Since Cass is again making the rounds for expounding on all the ways we might make fewer trans kids, here’s a piece on how this discourse erases the lives of trans people doing extraordinary specifically because they embraced who they are. Whose rich lives wouldn’t have happened in the closet.

Ava Cordero was a trans woman who tried to whistle blow the who pedophile island and was mocked, derided, and harassed by the same media apparatus that now defends/works for Epstein affiliates. And every anti-trans "journalist" is less than or equal to 1 degree of separation from pedophiles.

It's really disturbing how in the mid 2010s there were several regularly active trans journalists in the British mainstream press and presently there's like maybe 2 who occasionally get some token comment somewhere when someone's given us a kicking.

I've never seen even one of these conspiracy types mention Cordero, who, if you think about it, should be recognized as one of the first people to blow the whistle on Epstein, and also acts as a sobering example of demonstrable ways in which societal elites abuse power to silence enemies.

Yeah I should really be clear - the Gender Affirmative Model (silent suffix... Of Psychotherapy) is mainly relevant to psychotherapists to get them to stop being transphobic. Whereas it doesn't have much to say about trans healthcare beyond stop controlling and hurting trans people.

This whole fight over transgender stuff happening on X is so weird to me. The most notable thing about trans issues in the last 5 years has been the enormous, coordinated anti-trans activism campaign across the right, aided by moral cowards in the center.

But that campaign is *never mentioned*.

This is at the heart of why I am so dismissive of AI “research”---because of what it says about how you, as an aspiring writer, see yourself in relationship to books and other authors.
