Wichita City Council to vote on stricter illegal camping enforcement The local ordinance currently prohibiting law enforcement from removing a camp when shelter beds are not available may change next month.

Immediate camp removals? Wichita’s City Council gears up for a big vote on December 17.

The proposed ordinance could allow law enforcement to clear encampments without waiting for shelter availability or issuing prior warnings.
