I was thinking exactly the same thing! And also other countries are going to start denying these planes! It is a mess! Also think about the folks who landed in say Guatemala, what will their fate be? We are watching in real time the next iteration of the Third Reich!

I lit the Shabbat candles for the first time in my life last night! The world needs all our light and Shabbat gives us an opportunity to share that into the cosmos! I am studying Torah with a local Rabbi and it is absolutely bringing to life something inside of me.

Our community party is on Sunday! Incredible turnout! I live in a small city in Vancouver Island. I would not have thought there were 100 Jews in the community and we have surpassed that number! Our people need each other right now! It is a silver lining!

There is no concerted effort to force the disabled people of Canada to do MAID. There may be assholes who suggested but the guardrails are pretty stringent to actually do it so before you share anecdotal evidence like this I encourage you to check out real stats.

I left X for Threads after Oct 7th! I really found a great Jewish community there! You may want to give it a whirl! Others are coming back from here saying they miss what we’ve created there!

You don’t even have to look it up to see it! That is the nice thing about Threads. There is a strong Jewish presence to counter it! It helps!
