I’d have to remove all shark toys before his lesson and the start of every lesson was walking the perimeter to check for holes to show him no shark could get into the pool.
Took months to get him back to where he was.

I taught swimming as my high school job. I had a little 6 year old boy who was a great swimmer until one day he was terrified to get in the pool. “His dad made him watch Jaws” was what his mom said to me.

The response I got was that they didn’t associate stockings as Christian because it is filled by a Saint…
I was very confused

I was brainstorming a craft and someone suggested we cut shapes to look like stockings. I said we need to have variety because we didn’t want to exclude the kids that maybe weren’t Christian.

I agree. I liked it very much but I think because I found the solution obvious it was a bit of a let down for me.

I still laughed and thought it was well done. But the reveal didn’t surprise me.

I have cousins who lived far away but would spend a month or two at my grandparents’ in the summers. One would sleep over once or twice during the summer and we would always watch it.

One summer he was fighting a lot with his brother and he slept over for a week. Watched it every night.
