A regular occurrence

The stoat (LeStoat) and marten (Martenelli) are in the "inn" from the previous comic, with the stoat lying in the "bed" (which is really the marten roleplaying as the bed). Stoat: Such a comfy, cozy bed. Nothing could spoil this moment.

A tiny shrew in winter hat approaches. Shrew: Oi! It's cold out there! Is this inn open? Mind if I snuggle into that bed with you? A skunk approaches. Skunk: Ooo! That bed looks sweet! Can I join you? I'm a bit pungent, but some find that charming.

Dollie the merganser approaches. Sea bird: Heyyy. I need a nice, warm nest to plunk down in and pop out some eggs. The willow ptarmigan from a previous comic and the Charlie Brown Christmas spoof animation approaches. Ptarmigan: I also need a safe bed! There's too many werewolves out tonight.

All the guests (shrew, skunk, merganser, and ptarmigan) are flopped on top of the stoat and marten, and are sleeping peacefully. The stoat and marten peek out from under the pile. Stoat: Are... all these people still just you playing multiple roles? Marten: I'm flattered you'd think that, but no. No, that wouldn't be possible, even for me. Not yet, at least.

Apologies, I misread what you were getting at- yeah, I can't really disagree with the logic and it's frankly the same sort of thinking I have on the matter.

Ideally, I'd love to see universal denuclearisation but in the current geopolitical climate... may be ill advised.

Assuming no decoys, that is. We've been using decoys alongside our warheads since the Chevaline upgrade to Polaris in the 80s.

Denuclearising just means we'd likely need to massively up defence spending elsewhere, to establish a credible conventional deterrence.
