I am mildly hopeful that the Pretti murder will stir some pushback from Republicans who might care more about the 2nd Amendment than Trump. I’m curious to see what GOP state legislators have to say on this one. Feds literally came into a state & murdered someone because he had a legal gun.

An important point here: admin leave is a necessary and expected minimum response after someone has been fatally shot, even in cases in which there is no real question that it was justified. You just took a life.

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

DHS is telling us not to believe our own eyes. They are counting on the fact that some new outlets will air this disinformation without pointing out the contradictory evidence, and plenty of viewers will never learn the truth. We deserve better from our government.
