I had a quick google too, just to make sure I was correct, but lactic acid is different to lactose. If you’re lactose intolerant then lactic acid won’t trigger it as they’re different things. I’m vegan, so I look out for these things too. I see ‘lactic’ and think ‘lactose’ but they’re different :)

Lactic acid is not necessarily from milk, it could be plant derived. However, if you have an intolerance to it then I suppose it would still be triggered despite the source!

Oh god heaven forbid I have to write katakana. I can easily write hiragana, I don’t even think I could remember katakana enough to start to write them! Fascinating isn’t it!

Yeah I agree that it’s similar enough to be confusing. Some of them look the same but with different sounds せ and サ ‘se’ and ‘sa’. Maybe they’re not as distinct either: ナイクケヌ all very similar…

I found katakana harder to pick up too, but forcing myself to read and use it really really helped! It just takes time :) べんきょうをがんばってね！
