In order for Apple to prevail, it would have to provide evidence establishing "undisputed facts" that it fired me for legit reasons: followed standard practices, acted super normal, and didn't have any motive to retaliate against me. So, Apple loses. It's rare for employer cases to be this bad.

Meanwhile, I have documentary evidence supporting my claims of: protected activity, Apple's knowledge of my protected activity, adverse employment actions, causation established by temporal proximity and direct evidence, & that Apple's defense is post-hoc pretext (made up after).

Gjovik v Apple update: the hearing today went very well & court is letting us move to Summary Judgement. In this case, that means I will win & Apple will lose. It's a pre-mini-hearing that only considers undisputed facts & evidence. Apple's entire defense is 1) conjecture & 2) disproven by evidence.

I’d also be interested in comparing it to Apple’s on device translator. I use it to help me with my iffy vocab, but it regularly surprises me with how well it handles slang, and the Indonesian penchant for shortening words.

This whole discourse is a rejection of adulthood & its discontents, a special pleading for men to be exempted from some unpleasantries like:
* No one is entitled to sex.

* It's very common for people not to get what they want.

Women are expected to put up with the above & it's not a crisis, ever.

There isn't a version of these men getting the thing they want that doesn't come at a cost to women. This has to be a confrontation, we have to fight them and they have to fucking lose.

The trouble with every iteration of "The left needs to give progressive dating advice to sad men" is that we're too timid about stating the fact that male entitlement to women's bodies and reproductive labour is the problem, not that entitlement being frustrated for some men.

I have a sneaking suspicion that even if these guys did get to fuck the women they wanted as much as they wanted all day every day, it wouldn't fill the void inside them that they think sex is supposed to. 99% of the advice that men will come across on this topic will be right wing coded when it comes from other (white) men. But women have been offering men advice to be more appealing and beddable which is not right wing coded, but men won't listen to women when women say "this is what we want."

I absolutely refuse to concede the notion that the need or (in)ability of cis het men to have as much sex as they wish to have is something that needs to be part of a larger cultural conversation, let alone one based on political alignment.

I tend to queue emails for delivery first thing the next business day, but I just have to gloat a bit after the veiled “I told you so” emails I’ve just sent.

I’ve been trying to get a few of my clients to finalise the generative systems usage policy I started telling them they needed months back. I see their staff using them, and at best all I can do is discourage them. Hope none of them have entered any privileged information.
