There's recent books I've read that I'd love to have a physical copy of, some Alyson Greaves, some Maria Ying, Killer Potential. Books that it'd be nice to have an easily lendable copy on hand to convince friends to try them. But it's not a priority because books are for reading, not showing off.

I have a box of books I haven't unpacked yet that's all more non-fiction. I don't think I own a single physical copy of any novel anymore, I've had to leave a lot of things behind over the years and they've just never been important in a way that keeping an ebook wasn't enough.

A thin humble bookshelf with five books total on it: two art books from the game Honkai Impact, and three nonfiction books that I purchased as part of my university education. All the other textbooks besides those three have been given away or tossed.

Discourse about physical bookshelves in 2025 is so funny. Like, who even owns most of their library physically anymore? The vast majority I read are purchased ebooks, checked out from the library, or library ebooks. My IRL bookshelf looks like this.
