Just had a pre-Thanksgiving get together with family I really like

I know other people have said it, but look at the EARS on that boy!

I wonder sometimes if what I'm chasing isn't just the masked bastards snatching our neighbors, but the ghosts of the life we lead before all this. Before the agents showed up, before the helicopters, before the tear gas, before the kidnappings. Before this latest Trump election, certainly, but before the first one too. So much has been lost. So many ghosts.

I turned 50 last month and it was absolutely a victory I didn't think I'd reach. Also the person who does my labs had her 50th birthday, and they decorated her cubicle with a sign that said "600 months old" - that made me laugh every time I remembered it.

Maybe they don't get that, yes, we're dying, and being upset about it all the time just wrecks what time we have left. I have my moments where I'm sad, but most of the time I just live.

My cats are really messed up by the time change and think their dinner is way overdue. Their solution to this is to occasionally walk across my keyboard. They have made my browser do things I didn't think was possible. This isn't getting them fed any time sooner, though.

That is, in fact, the exact section that spoke to me. (Tattoo has the Tree of Life, which my tattoo artist suggested, with 5 green leaves for 5 years of mBC)

I am on a much more even keel than I was before my diagnosis. I don't know if it's because I'm older, because of hormonal shifts, or what. But I'm glad.

Okay I just had my first one a week ago. Now I'm really not looking forward to the second one!

As soon as I read this, I became uncertain, but I think you are correct.

Fatigue and pain from standing were the reasons I got mine. I don't use it in the house, but I use it pretty regularly out of the house.

Honestly I get that. I was, too, for a while. But if I had attempted the 2k without my chair, I wouldn't have made it, and it was important for me to do it. I love my chair - it's relatively lightweight, comfortable, and (most importantly) green!

I just got back from doing a 2k for a breast and ovarian cancer org that makes a difference in my day-to-day life. I used my wheelchair, as standing is hard for me, and now I'm going to nap with some cats.

I am anticipating being a user soon, as my numbers are telling me that chemo is coming soon, and I have a hard time eating even on non-chemo meds. (7.5 years of cancer and this will be my first chemo)
