I miss the long form days of LiveJournal. I could write an essay on a random topic, and people would either engage or not. We had communities, large and small, and it was good.
I don't hate what we have today, but I'm nostalgic as I have things I'd love to discuss that don't work well in short form

Whether it's the White House, or reporters uncritically relaying its every utterance, those claiming that placing "DOGE" within the Executive Office of the President automatically "shields" its records under the Presidential Records Act are demonstrably wrong. New from me:
