We better tell all the cities globally like Paris, Melbourne, Auckland etc they should down tools now.
AI will make Dublinโs MetroLink obsolete, says Dermot Desmond www.irishtimes.com/ireland/dubl...
Our colleagues contributed to running workshops in Youghal and Tramore this week. Utilising the local knowledge of community members, we will undertake analysis to identify solutions to enhance mobility and community well-being.

It serves 15 other stations, connecting 127 schools, 3 universities, 5 hospitals, and making over 175k people and 250k jobs accessible by foot to a stop. An estimated 18% of passengers will use airport stop
I joined @hlinehan.bsky.social and Pat Leahy this morning on the @irishtimes.com Inside Politics podcast to discuss yesterdays National Development Plan review launch.

77% of NDP review submissions prioritised transport investment (low response rate)
Metrolink's โฌ2bn funding & support will see the project start construction, pending planning permission
But the devil is in the detail, how will the rest of the โฌ20bn be spent ..roads vs pt?
Colm McCarthy on @rte.ie just now saying a full cost-benefit analysis hasn't been done on Metrolink.... its been done several times.....
100's of pages here on it: www.nationaltransport.ie/planning-and...

A very important show of support for the Metrolink project from govt with the Taoiseach, Tรกnaiste and the Minister for Transport attending market engagement events in Dublin and across Europe.

New results from the @epaireland.bsky.social show our transport emissions are down 1.2%, given we have missed the target for a number of years now we are very far behind the 2030 target.. The report says EV sales have very little to do with he drop due to the low number

This would be a game changer for the city, but it has taken 30+ years to deliver 45km of Luas, this map has 85km+ of new lines.. the pace of delivery will have to exponentially increase to deliver this plan in 25 years.. we last opened a new line in 2017

No, they would use the TII car stock model which has built in fleet turn over to EV. They dont make sweeping assumptions that all vehicles will be electric in x years time
