Good morning Skylarks. This month is all about Horror Stories and I gallop through them. Currently "Wounds: Six Stories from the Border of Hell" by Nathan Ballingrud (not on Blue). I injured my hand whilst cooking (bad oil burn), so it is not only fitting but have now every excuse to rest 🤣

Good morning Skylarks. Hex had a fantastic ending, so give it a go. Was trying some books, none spoke to me at this time. Settled for "No Gods, No Monsters" by Cadwell Turnbull which was recommended here. So far a winner.

He "fascinates" me. We are roughly in the same age group. Everyone I know has mellowed over time. Some friends have drifted more to the right, others, like me, to the left. But I never encountered such a soul destroying, vitriol, hateful old man. I do wonder what went wrong in his life.

I was given one of these. Of course I drank it immediately. Big mistake. Too healthy. Nearly died of the exposure of nutrients and "super food". It had Kale in it!!!! Why would someone do that to me !

Know what you mean. Part of me smirked and rolled eyes and another part felt immensely proud and my heart was overflowing.

Again, thank you. Am now already on Book 3. Helped me get over "It is far too hot to read something complicated "summer slump". Enjoying myself.
