N.S. bans hiking and use of vehicles in woods as dry conditions raise wildfire fears | CBC News Provincial government restricting activities in woods as hot, dry conditions persist.

NS gov has announced it's banning hiking, camping, fishing and use of vehicles such as ATVs in the woods as of 4 p.m. Tuesday due to an elevated wildfire risk.

Camping in campgrounds is still permitted, but trail systems through woods are off-limits.

yes, the last couple of days have been more smokey because of all the fires out West and up North. This morning was the haziest I have seen it in quite awhile. We are in a drought now, and there are big concerns over fires breaking out here as well
