Just reading this and got to the Intensity section. In which you mention code to stop the game from being pirated by "those drratted cartridges", but don't detail how, for obvious reasons. Can you elaborate now?

100% Factual. I rely on TV & Movies for my stories.

Ah fair enough. I guess it’s because I’ve only known you when you were a Mac user. I was a PC Format, PC Gamer, PC Zone and PCW reader, once i got a PC in Oct 94. I never read either PC Answers or PC User. But, look at how many magazines were available then though!!

Just read your latest column in Evo, β€œCar ads”, couldn’t stop giggling at the classic car stuff near the end. Also, couldn’t help my brain not read it hear 60s man either πŸ˜‚πŸ€ͺ

@realsirlansalot.bsky.social This is clearly fake AI bullshit. Much as I wish it wasn't.

I see people all the time weather I’m cycling or driving. They are simply addicted to the things!

I first played it at the School Youth Club. Loved it. This was the first arcade game I saw running on an emulator on a PC in about 1994. I was stunned into silence.

Fair point, I did play it with my mate, thinking about it, as a single player, though, very dull.

95% for Racing Destruction Set seems a tad high! I had it for my Atari and though it was fun to create new tracks, as a racing game it wasn't all that.

I wish I had any photos of my teenage bedroom in the 80s. We just didn’t β€œwaste” film of such things 😐

Where’s this going to be published? Always loved the Diary of a Game feature in Zzap64.

Oh, that looks good. I’ll download that on my work laptop tomorrow.

I did send you a DM with a link to a Facebook thread about Kempston Joysticks that might be a good starting point for someone to do a story about.

Never had you pegged as an Underworld fan. This is a great track but there are better. Do you have other favourites?

I love the interviews with the people who worked on the magazines. Such great stories.

What a great sketch! I probably watched it at the time, but have long since forgotten it.

I’ll be buying it once the paperback is out. Sorry Ned, just don’t like hardback books. I know I’ll enjoy it though, your stuff is always great. Plus, given it’ll be out next year it’ll give me TdF vibes when I can’t watch it on ITV πŸ˜•

25.06.2025 19:39 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Why is this one better, or should I watch both of them?

Seems like a "person shakes first at cloud" moment. Oh no, lots of people in the World are much younger than I am and they don't know stuff I do. Just like it's always been, aren't they all so stupid?

28.04.2025 14:58 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I know who it is, but so what? I'm sure there are hundreds of people I don't know from a picture that others will. What's the point?

And there's this, although it's not as focused on the tech and history for obvious reasons. I'm not sure you can buy it, though, digitally or otherwise. Hit me up if you can't find it.
