YouTube video by Avie Sheck Mom & I Cover Creep By Radiohead (she is a classical Indian singer ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ)

This duet cover of Radiohead's "Creep", between a son and his Shastriya Sangeet classically trained mother, is the mash-up I didn't know how much I needed in my life. Totally spontaneous sobbing may have taken place.

Starbucks has scrapped a $250,000 limit on its CEO's use of the company jet for personal travel.

CEO Brian Niccol uses the jet to commute from his house California to corporate HQ in Seattle.

The company is lifting the cap while refusing thousands of baristas a union contract.

Circular paper with a green and brown round metal handle. To the left is the narrow end which would have been slotted onto the long shaft of the spear.

1. Americans have a constitutional right to carry a gun.

2. ICE have the right to shoot a US citizen simply because they are carrying a gun.

You can logically believe neither of these is a good idea. But you can't logically believe both

Interesting. It's not obvious that it is within the ambit of s.106A for an Inspector to consider whether permission would or should have been granted without the obligation, but that may have been deliberate. In which case is the problem in the legislation rather than the decision.

For decades, the American right has insisted that people need firearms for personal safety and to resist potential government tyranny.

And then LBC just had some US general on who suggested that if a demonstrator has a gun with them, they're essentially a legitimate target.

Which is it?

Sad in so many ways. One of our most precious memories of our elder son's childhood is the way, when still a toddler, he would arrive in our room at 6.30 each morning and literally fling his current favourite at my wife with the demand that she "'ead* books, Mummy, 'ead books" (*pronounced 'eed')

There are going to be limits to what you can make other countries do by threatening to tax your own citizen's purchases of their products.

I believe handing over entire territories falls well beyond those limits.
