β€˜I didn’t mean to scare anyone’: Dolly Parton’s sister says after asking for prayers Dolly postponed her first Las Vegas residency in more than 30 years late last month, saying she was dealing with health challenges.

Well thank fuck for that

This is a warning to every artists and clients using PayPal: Leave the note blank or send invoices. Apparently even saying "commission" makes them trigger happy. #SaveSpeech #StopPaypros

Yeah, maybe after almost 15 years I'm getting a little tired of it trying to "recommend" to me podcast episodes about Bill Gates.

May have to start looking elsewhere.

I don't even like jalapeΓ±o and I'd probably scarf that down. That sounds *so* nice.

I think overall we're definitely not looking at some sort of Aftermath-esque flop where *no one* is interested in it, and I'm betting it's doing better than Assassin's Creed, but it's not breaking any sort of records anytime soon.

It's an anecdote I've seen quite often, at least in regards to events having exceptionally low participation. The set itself selling well doesn't surprise me, but I have also heard of product sitting on store shelves as well (though that may be from a lower interest in Spider-Man itself there).

If you high roll, yes, but Circe/Icarus can give you useless or even punishing (especially w/ Icarus) bonuses; and with proper Arcana setups, very little that Circe can give you will actually do much for you (since non-Magic builds will ignore the top right corner for instance).

The new post-1.0 keepsakes have been a big shakeup though, as they (at least H&P's and Z's) are almost flat out better than any of the others if you're willing to let RNG take the passenger seat.

04.10.2025 02:52 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

For me this is kind of weird to read as I almost *never* use those keepsakes. Pretty much for me it was always jumping between god keepsakes to start a build going, and then to Athena once the build got going, to finish with Odysseus's.

04.10.2025 02:51 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What were you clicking with before 1.0? Nothing substantial should have changed, it was mainly story beats, but maybe I'm forgetting something.

Hmm, yeah. Daggers as gloves makes total sense.

(And hell yeah, congrats)

04.10.2025 02:21 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

There's dumb mash-button aspects like Medea skull, but then you've got The Morrigan daggers that ask for you to cycle an attack sequence to get big chungus damage procs. Lacking a true blue ranged option outside of the Skulls does kinda feel weird sometimes though, admittedly.

04.10.2025 02:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

There is a bit of a disconnect between the weapons in 1 and 2, that's for sure. The closest I can think of would be... I dunno, the Coat in 2 feels a bit like the gloves in 1? And obviously the boons are quite different between games. But there's usually something for everyone.

04.10.2025 02:15 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Fair enough. But trust me, once you notch it up (down?) to 5 minutes per biome, running into Nemesis or Heracles will become a blessing, lol.

04.10.2025 02:10 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Nemesis does at least save time once you start using the Vows - NPCs and shops stop the timer, so you'll start welcoming them soon enough.

Think the best way to describe it would be if the ProZD sketch where "anime is solved forever!" took several hours to run to completion.

Maybe with less threesomes.

... kinda.

I don't think it's been more obvious than this week that the Bluesky mod team was never prepared for this site to become as popular and influential as it has been, and simply cannot reconcile with it at all.

A collection of illustrations featuring Catcus, the cactus cat, against a soft brown background, in a flat, shadeless art style. Catcus is a green cat with cactus spikes all over her body, her tail stylised to look like a cactus with a pink flower on it. The six illustrations showcase Catcus being cheeky and playful, knocking plant pots over and rolling in the dirt, sleeping in planters curled cutely, becoming eeeeextra loooong as a pair of gardening gloves pull her out of a plant pot, and followed by her little catcittens, which look like little round cacti balls. You just cannot stay mad at her mischievous self, she's just too cute!
