I wrote a novel about college in the 80s that I like, but it’s too different from everything else that I’ve written. After a halfhearted handful of submissions, I can’t get enthusiastic about sending it out anywhere.

None of this has anything to do with what I said, which was that we’re seeing high-profile Republicans publicly standing up to him for the first time. What it means/whether it matters is a different discussion.

I’m talking about elected GOP representatives refusing to back down from releasing the files. MTG, Boebert, Massie etc. We’ve never seen this before.

I think the two are related. He could bluster and fight previously because his base was behind him, but this time he’s had high-profile defections from Republicans, and judging by replies on Tr*th Social, he’s losing support from his base.
