I saw this particular kind of enshittification among British university websites over a decade ago, but the plague has spread far and wide here now too. I hate everything.

I have a whole lesson for grad-school-bound students on how to find faculty pages when university websites are so maddeningly admissions-oriented. Can you find basic details about a program? Yes, easily. Can you find out anything about the department including who teaches on the program? Good luck!

If I could offer students one bit of…advice: be brutally traditional about what is printed on your degree.

If you are first-gen or in any way non traditional, this goes double. Let rich kids get degrees in AI. You get something called “English”.
