Yep. Let WA know when the eastern states start applying GST to their pokies revenue. That will help considerably to fund the government's shortfall.

Court overturns Queensland's controversial puberty blocker ban Queensland controversially barred public doctors from prescribing puberty blockers to patients aged under 18 earlier this year.

One state in the thrall of fundamentalists and dog whistling state politicians. Also the state known for the 'Queensland smile' because of the many regional councils that have removed fluoride from water. Thankfully sanity through the courts has prevailed for the safety of gender diverse youth.

Holy Smokes. Ireland just elected a left-leaning female president and she's awesome!

A former psychologist, former barrister, former competitive badminton player, ran so many marathons she lost count, and comes from a family of 14 siblings raised by a single father. 🫣 🇮🇪

A brown goshawk walking along a branch - it's posture of hunched shoulder, feet that look like it is kicking sand and glowering facial expression look like it has been unfairly maligned of some crime.

A totally innocent Brown Goshawk, who absolutely 100% has nothing to do with the disappearance of all those delicious little birds. #birds #birdphotography (apologies for the anthropomorphism)

Interesting. They are slaters/slater beetles in Australia. What city is our dividing line to determine influence? The slaters start at: X. :D

'Evangelical' sadly has lost its original currency of Wesleyan. I wish Sydney was evangelical. Sydney belongs to the reformed tradition. I do not know if it is still the case but every room at Moore College (their seminary) used to have a full set of Calvin's Institutes on the bookshelf.

Monkey. A popular kids and yoof tv show in Australia in the 80s. Dead ringer, even the sideburns... just needs the torc and costume.

The future's green for turtles.

Once on the brink of extinction, green sea turtles are making a comeback in the Pacific: nest counts on Australia’s Heron Island have risen tenfold since the 1970s, and populations across the Pacific now meet IUCN recovery thresholds.

Here for the Fry's 😺 Did wonder whether Lewis was referring to Fry's or the Anatolian version (rose water and pistachio, /chef's kiss). Fry's launched in 1914, is made in Oz by Cadbury and comes in a 'family' block as well as the small bars. Would not decline either😻.

3/ I am philosophical. I had just set up an ancient Critter Trail that I last deployed about 15 years ago to try and relocate an Antechinus. If My Mouse wants to live it will go in there. St Martin de Porres, pray for us and all creation! Not many creatures die of old age in nature.

2/ Update. I sent the dead mouse body to the front lawn for the ravens and magpies. Then I saw my mouse. It is still here, the adventurous mouse was another one. 🙀 Mm. The live trap may need to be deployed sooner rather than later.

A mouse moved in with me in winter. I had been feeding it in a containment strategy. But it started getting adventurous. Mabel has found it. It was beautiful and I was soon to make the difficult decision to live trap and release it over the fence where the tiger snakes stir.
