Trump’s talk of sending a hospital ship to Greenland puzzles leaders Trump says he’s sending a ship to care for Greenland’s sick. But the territory doesn’t want the help and the U.S. appears to have no hospital ships available to send.

Sending a ship that is not available to address a crisis that does not exist because of a delusion that cannot be pierced.

I should be old /jaded enough not to be bothered by guys hyuck-hyucking about being forced to acknowledge women who just won a gold medal. But I’ll be damned if that one hasn’t been under my skin all day.

At the very least, I don’t want to hear about the loneliness thing anymore. Go improve.

The hidden ICE blueprint that should horrify every American | Will Bunch An internal Department of Homeland Security document shows how ICE plans to cram thousands of detained human beings inside a Georgia warehouse.

What's more shocking than ICE's plan to cram as many 8,500 humans into massive, soul-crushing warehouses?

Seeing the actual DHS floor plan that echoes slavery ships and history's worst gulags with no rec space but a gun range for guards

I keep hearing that the Epstein files are so big if we held everyone accountable everything would collapse. And no it wouldn’t. These rich guys don’t do any actual work. They aren’t actually important or useful they are just rich.

I just did the dumbest thing of my entire career to prove a much more serious point.

I tricked ChatGPT and Google, and made them tell other users I’m a competitive hot-dog-eating world champion

People are using this trick on a massive scale to make AI tell you lies. I’ll explain how I did it

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

…These people have quite actively tried to ensure that if they go down we're going with them.

So I'm saying i want them stopped, but i want the equivalent of a controlled descent, the pilots and crew arrested on the scene, and a prolonged & public FAA investigation about how the fuck this happened.

Courts have ruled 4,400 times that ICE jailed people illegally. It hasn’t stopped. Hundreds of judges around the country have ruled more than 4,400 times since October that President Donald Trump’s administration is detaining immigrants unlawfully, a Reuters review of court records ...

Chuck Schumer’s insistence on “reining in” ICE is so infuriating because they simply do not believe themselves bound by the law. The only solution to ending the concentration camps, the torture, the abductions, the murder, is to disband the agency and prosecute the lawbreakers.

And this critical lens extends to revealing how gender hierarchies enable the kind of abuses that some men in Epstein’s circle seemingly believed they had the right to commit." www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

The thing many people fail to grasp—the thing you are sort of prevented from ever having a reason to grasp until you put the effort in to learn or life demands it of you—is that a world in which you see a lot of disabled people is simply a world in which more people survive disability.

Too many people amassing astronomic wealth fundamentally do not believe in the idea that all people are equal and deserve equal rights, and they are spending their money on those ideas. This is the story.

Wow, almost like the media and journalism profession failed in some sort of professional duty to actually inform these low-engagement voters about what Trump was saying he wanted to do and the consequences of those plans.

There is a moral-failure-of-the-voters here, but it's not the only one.

More than 400 people, including hundreds of citizens, were “sorted” at gun point into racial and ethnic groups by 200 ICE agents who fired flash-bang grenades into cars with people inside, pointed guns at children & demanded their zip tied parents not comfort them. apple.news/Ausdx6kWtT0e...

U.S. police kill civilians at a rate nearly incomparable to other wealthy democracies.
