Earlier this week I wrote:
"the rapid decline in the cost of batteries combined with increased performance has made a mockery of most predictions from even a few years ago."
It has changed everything in energy.
The maturation and meteoric rise of cheap, non-rare earth, insanely long-lasting LiFePo4 has had a transformational impact, and the new techs teasing just around the corner like CATL's Na-ion tech promise to make BESS prices plunge yet again. Only corruption and inertia prop up fossil fuels anymore.

The quad cab is fine on my old 2006 Honda Ridgeline, which is essentially an SUV with a 5-ft truck bed instead of a trunk. But it's not like a serious pickup truck. It's great for the little diyer home projects that I needed for, and it can tow 5,000 lb. But a real pickup should have 1-row seating

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.
Also love their 2030 cost estimate for SMRs, a technology that does not exist with exactly 0 commercial SMRs in existence and only a handful of demonstration reactors

New solar plus batteries are less than half the cost of new gas!
New nuclear ($139/MWh) also is getting close to being cheaper than new gas!
Gas too is dirty, biggest CO2 electricity polluter. #energysky
