This is a good description! We made it with the goal of "playable with small kids nearby" but it got a teen rating because there is a reference to "sap wine" 😅 it's a completely self directed mystery game so that may be great or may be boring it's hard to say without knowing your kiddo

Agreed! And don't let the "difficulty" scare you/her away. I suck at action games but wanted to play it for the puzzles and was able to beat it without adjusting difficulty, but those tools are there if you need them. The puzzles are SO worth it.

Thanks! It wasn't all bad. It was our first game as a studio so getting funding at all felt like a huge win and helped us make the game better than it could have been without

True! But this was their defense after we told them, "no 18+ cosplay photoshoots of our teenage characters in official marketing" Just didn't seem like the right angle for "buy this for the whole family!"

Surprising no one, the game didn't find its audience (I'm not a skilled marketer so I couldn't hijack it and make it happen) and the publisher went under a few years later after a few more failed launches. Yes I'm still bitter about it 🥲 but super proud of what we made and the impact it did have!

Having worked on an all-ages title I can confirm, had to pitch it as "great for beginners in the genre" and not "all-ages" to get funding. Sadly the publisher still tried to market it to 20-35 yr old men and when I called them on it, had the gaul to tell me "it's who buys games".

Already over 6,000 supporters! How fast can we get it to 10,000? 👀
