You've worked hard enough on reputation, Jon. Journalists are unlikely to cross as many borders as you to test a hypothesis.

05.11.2025 18:38 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I wish existing routes with existing infrastructure could just be more friendly. Space, a table, power socket. Also for other users just to be quiet with their gadgets.
05.11.2025 14:54 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Wouldn't be amazing if the Government would make the case for sustainability? Tough choices, but they can be swallowed them if we know why they are being made. Look what we did during Covid.

05.11.2025 13:04 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So, the latest GreenSignals podcast about Virgin getting access to Temple Mills is now up www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikDn...
My job was to knit it all together, but there are v interesting parts from Phil Whittingham (Virgin) & Diccon Spain (Ashford councillor), esp about Trenitalia

I've never found it acceptable that, through history, rich benefactors get their names on concert halls, galleries, etc., and, in the case of Gates, determine who lives or dies.
03.11.2025 20:12 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Maybe it was counterintuitive for Virgin to seek access to TM and STP and not to build a maintenance depot at Ashford?
03.11.2025 13:41 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Fair point, Jon. My head was only getting through the tunnel, just as the regulator did.
03.11.2025 13:38 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Plus there's a terminal at Ashford and a fast link to it from STP. It seemed to me counterintuitive to battle for access to Temple Mills.
