to call it burnout is a massive understatement. there's no money in art, no stability in government, and no security in the nation-state. absolutely dire circumstances designed to destroy artists, activists, the poor, the elderly, and every minority.

i can barely muster the emotional energy to create any more, and this was the case during biden's administration, when neoliberalism was still in full weekend at bernie's. these days, seeing multiple critical national institutions and social safety nets be plundered is crushing.

it's really appalling how plainly it's an administrative coup, yet the mass media isn't really documenting it and the democratic party (with like two exceptions) aren't fighting it.
