Blue Sky’s problem is that it’s filled with people who think they’re the smartest and most virtuous people in the room, so any disagreement with them is immediately toxicity or excessive negativity, it’s pretty tiresome

Also like, it just doesn’t matter if the stats say we weren’t that bad. We’ve been shit for months, we’re still shit, we show zero signs of not being shit any time soon. Why would it matter in the slightest if we were maybe ok at best in a game we lost 4-2 to the team in 17th?😭😭

I think stats are a very useful tool for analysis and understanding the game but I just cannot wrap my head around watching a game like that, seeing us play shit and then saying after the fact “oh it’s fine actually because our xg was alright”

Not trying to be a dick but if you don’t care about the experience of watching football and only rely on stats to tell you everything, why watch at all? Surely you’d get the same satisfaction out of just looking at a spreadsheet and then being condescending to people online afterwards?
