Today marks 100 years since women in Newfoundland won the right to vote and hold public office. It was a hard-fought victory led by tireless suffragists.
But the fight isnβt over. Women in NL still face pay inequity & underrepresentation in politics. It's time for action.
Blocked.

Screenshot of a CBC news article in which Trump suggests permanently displacing Palestinians so the US can take over Gaza.
Gaza belongs to Palestine β and no one else.
Trump's threats are utter madness. They violate every international law. Destabilize the region. Threaten the ceasefire.
Canada must stand up to this forcefully.
Gaza is not for sale, it belongs to Palestinians.
So I'm standing in the grocery store parking lot and it's freaking cold.
A very classy old woman sees me and walks the entire distance across the lot.
"You give that man shit," she says.
Then walks away.
That's Canada.

He will never force Canada to bend.
Canadian MP Charlie Angus responded to Trump's proposal to make Canada the 51st U.S. state by noting that existing laws prevent "sexual abusers" from leading his nation.

It is the historic site of an airstrip used by Amelia Earhart in 1932.
Constructed by locals in 1927, this historic airfield hosted twenty transatlantic flight attempts during the interwar period. Amelia Earhart famously left the airstrip on her successful solo flight in 1932.
