Mom & I Cover Creep By Radiohead (she is a classical Indian singer πŸ•‰οΈ)
YouTube video by Avie Sheck Mom & I Cover Creep By Radiohead (she is a classical Indian singer πŸ•‰οΈ)

This duet cover of Radiohead's "Creep", between a son and his Shastriya Sangeet classically trained mother, is the mash-up I didn't know how much I needed in my life. Totally spontaneous sobbing may have taken place.

A Rarity Reclaimed: Stolen Stradivarius Recovered After 35 Years For decades, virtuoso violinist Roman Totenberg played his prized Stradivarius around the world. Then one day in 1980 it was snatched. Gone. But in June, the FBI called his daughter with news.

Mine is the theft of the Ames violin it’s almost too perfectly a moral lesson. Student steals rare Stradivarius violin from teacher* at school, but can never publicly perform with it, occasionally plays it locked in room alone for decades

A promotional image for the book, Steel-Plate Subversive, based on the front cover. The background is the surface of the sea at night, the view is from above, looking down at the deck of a small, steel-grey submarine, cutting diagonally across the lower half of the frame. The hatch in the low-profile turret is open. A bearded white man in a green woollen jumper and brown flat cap is standing waist-deep in the open hatch, holding up a Thompson submachine gun. He’s lit from below by the red light inside the submarine. The title is in orange below the hatch, and my name is in white below that. In the top half, against the dark water, the text reads: β€˜The Black and Tans, brutal squads of men with little or no police training, committing random acts of violence.

'Little more than mercenaries, these ex-soldiers became known as the Black and Tans, the nickname inspired by their improvised uniforms. With little or no police training, these men were prone to using violence to get things done, and quickly developed a reputation for brutality.'

Life tip: If you miss going to video libraries and borrowing videos or dvds, I'm delighted to tell you that *actual* libraries have dvds, *and* you can reserve films to borrow (whether they're new or old).

*Additionally* they have loads of films that aren't on streaming.

Oh these are almost perfect matches! Meath and Italy are both steeped in history and culture while also administratively tortured by bitter regional divides.

Waterford and Denmark are both full of vikings!

Belgians and Offaloonatics both love chocolate and filling in forms.
