I’m done with that theater, well-priced classical screenings be damned.

Tonight was the first time I ever left a movie theater because of another patron.

The dude at the end of my row was playing music on his phone (w/out headphones), had a conversation with someone on the phone, and in both cases increased the volume to be more audible amidst the movie sound.

It was (is?) a maxim that circulated among a certain type of fandom whereby the person wearing the t-shirt is a likely a "poser" who bought the shirt as more of a fleeting novelty gesture and thus co-opted belonging from the "true" fans.

You bought the shirt to show reverence for the band. Why would you **not** wear it at the most logical place to show that reverence and commune with other folks who enjoy the artist?

It is perfectly acceptable to wear a band t-shirt to that band's concert

I finally saw Oppenheimer. The first half suffers from Nolan's worst tendencies towards overanxious pacing. And yet the second half shows how extremely effective that style can be when tempered by scenes with (slightly) longer takes and less frenetic cutting.
