That's my point. Hogg tried to do that... and the collective reaction to him seemed to be about how his vibes are awful.

I just never get the appeal of rubber-tire vehicles with catenary-power. It's like a worst-of-both-worlds solution, with neither the flexibility of a truck nor the efficiency of a train.

Her individually? No. The DNC's general problem with gerontocracy and not encouraging their hyper-elderly leaders to make room for younger, more active voices in the party? Yes.

This is a systemic problem. When people like AOC and Hogg try to combat it they're pilloried by the party elite.

Modern conservatism is about aesthetics and annoyance. Other languages are annoying and so must be destroyed. LGBTQ people are icky, so ditto. Cyclists are occasionally-annoying obstacles, and so must be destroyed. Homeless people are unsightly, and so must be destroyed.
